All of a sudden my navigation panel has disappeared - and I can't seem to get
it back. All I see is my inbox, and I can't find the other folders (sent
messages, deleted messages, etc. Outlook Express had a "Navigation Panel"
listing in the View menu, but it doesn't show in Windows Mail View menu.

I have the same or similar problem. I have imported into Windows mail three
old Outlook Express identies. Each has its ow file structure, all imported
fine. Accepted that all mail wouuld be imported into 1 inbox. Suddenly the
whole files structure has gone. 2 folders under the inbox remain and that's
it. Any ideas.

When I do a Send / Receive by I just get a box pop up and shut down and by
opening the error box it does have the following in "An unknown error has
occurred. Protocol: POP3, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800C0148".

Any ideas most appreciated.

Thanks.

Then uninstall your antivirus program, reboot, and try WinMail
again. After you get your email working, you will need to install
a non-intrusive antivirus program such as the free AVG or Avast.
Whichever antivirus you select, be sure to NOT enable the email
scanning option.
