Navigation Pane Question

The navigation pane on one of my databases has been clicked and dragged to
the left and now it is very narrow and only the first part of the options can
be seen. The Shutter Bar Open/Close has also disappeared and the double
sided arrow that allows for resizing does not appear when I hover on the
right side of the pane. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to allow
the navigation pane to be widened?

I would hold down the shift key during database startup to ensure that no
startup settings run....

After above...then hitting f11 should toggle the pane to open/close it...

So, try f11 see if that helps....

Thanks for the information. I tried both things and found that the shift key
did not affect the appearance of the navigation pane and the F11 did work on
opening and closing the navigation pane but did not solve my problem of
needing to resize the navigation pane.

Any other help would be appreciated.

I am unable to re-produce the above......

I assume no forms or any other objects are opened when you try this....

It doesn't matter if I have a switchboard open automatically or if I allow
the database to open without any autoexecs - the navigation pane cannot be
resized. This has not happened on any other database that I am workiing with.

Thanks for trying.

Well, I guess you can create a new blank database, and import everything
from that old one to see if that helps...

I am having this exact problem. I think I did it simply by resizing the pane
(making it narrower), but since I did not notice the problem straight away,
I'm not sure. That's the only thing I can think of. In any case, I can't get
it to work properly!

It's working again! I'll put my solution (of sorts) here for future
reference. :)

I'm not entirely sure what I did differently this time, but when I pressed
F11 to toggle the pane, the exact view appeared that you would normally get
-- the words "Navigation Pane" written sideways, with the double arrow at the
top, etc. When I toggled it again, the "expanded" pane was still appearing in
the narrow space--it turns out this narrow space is the same size as that
pane bar, scrollbars and all--and I still could not expand it, there was no
shutter, etc. I did discover, however, that when it was CLOSED, I WAS able to
drag it out and thus expand it (and it automatically switches to the "open"
view)! Now it is working perfectly!

Seems like such a simple solution, and I still have no idea how it happened
in the first place.
