We have developed an application in Excel 1997 with a
considerable amount of protected cells. In Excel 1997,
you can use your arrow keys to move 1 cell in any
direction whether the cell is protected or not. If you
try to type something in a protected cell, you get a
message saying the cell is protected.
When we distributed this application to people that use
Excel 2000, 2002 and 2003, they now skip over entire
protected areas by hitting an arrow key just once. For
example, if they are in column B and column A is protected
and they hit the arrow key once to the left, they get
thrown to column ZZZ skipping over column A.
We want protect cells to work the way they did in 1997.
Is there a setting we can apply or anything we can do to
make this happen.
Thanks
