I've been trying to get my laptop to connect to the internet through m
desktop ::

Desktop has a wireless link with the router/Dhcp + nic card. Lapto
has a nic card.

dynamic ISp --> router AP/gateway 192.168.0.1
desktop wireless card --> dynamic (192.168.0.106)
desktop NIC -->static (10.10.10.1) - no gateway set
laptop NIC-->static (10.10.10.2) -gateway=10.10.10.100
NAT32-->(10.10.10.100) gateway set to 0.0.0.0.. address filter
10.10.10.1

I've followed the directions :: NAt32 docs tell me not to set a gatewa
for the static IP on the windows machine...and says to set the gatewa
and DNS settings on the laptop to whatever NAT32 is running.. I lef
most everything default.. all of the NAT32 settings for the wireles
are 0.0.0.0 to allow it to be configured dynamicly, and it's set t
moniter address changes.

my port mapping looks like. .
port mappign ON for wireless
ICMP mapping ON for wireless
DNS mapping ON for static
DNS detect ON for wireless
... all that is the default.

I've tried it all with source routing on 10.10.10.2 on ::: i reall
have no clue how to get this working.. it's drivign me nuts! I ca
ping 10.10.10.2 (laptop) from my desktop, but my laptop can't pin
anything!

PLease help me before I pull out All my hair :-

Hey bill ..

I'm not using ICS ... The problem with ICS is that it sets the IP t
192.168.0.1... which conflicts with my hardware router/gateway... .. s
I'm only using NAT32. I tried using 192.168.X.X addresses and it didn'
work... I talked with ym tech friend, and he told me to use 10.10.10.
address range... the problem is that the router was getting th
addresses I assigned to my machines confused, because it didnt' assig
them at all ::

The settings that I posted were right ::: i checked what the packet
were doing with a tracking tool .... and they kept getting relfected :
hmm.. funny ..... turns out I had left the firewall on, and while al
the ports were open :: it is set to stealth mode, so that hackers an
ping a range and find it :::: turned off the firewall, an
everything works fine. ;)

I currently have my Xbox connected through my desktop that I'm postin
this on... listening to internet radio from the Xbox, and i've got a 2
inch visual effect screen running like on winamp ;) This little to
rocks! best $150 I ever spent ;)

Thanks for the quick respsonse :
