narration when saving to a web page

I'm using powerpoint 2003, and want to save a presentation with narration to
a web page. The save as web page creates a .htm file and a folder that
includes the narration files, but the narration doesn't play when I view the
page(s) in a browser (Explorer 6).

I saw something about not being able to use embedded or linked sound files
in a web presentation, but don't know what the workaround is. I want to use
the narration I've already recorded.

Hi,

The only thing I can think of is this about sound across web pages:

Sounds won't play across multiple slides on the web

Does that help?

Please tell us your PowerPoint / Windows version,
whether you are using vba, whether
your cows are in the corn paddock, or
anything else relevant.

Hi,

You gotta be careful listening to Glen.... <vbg>.

It might be a multimedia setting in IE? Within Internet Explorer go to
Tools| Internet Options| Advanced Tab| go to the multimedia section and see
if "Play sounds in web pages" is enabled.

Thanks! Good info at those links.

In the end, though, I think I will convert my PPT to Flash, for better
cross-browser functioning.
