on the menu bar....Insert>Name>Define.
select the name you wish to rename.
Click the delete button. click ok.
on the menu bar... Insert>Name>Define.
Rename the still selected range.
Click the add button. click ok.
range now renamed.

But it supports Excel 2003 keyboard sequences mimicking KEYBOARD use of
the Excel 2003 menu. Hold down an [Alt] key and press I (for Insert), then
press N (for Name) then D (for Define).

The quickest way to get to the Define Name dialog is the Ctrl-F3
shortcut.
