Rita,

To name a cell or range of cells, just select the cell(s) and
enter the name in the Name Box, located to the left of the
formula bar.

What answer did you give?

I've never heard of it so I couldn't answer it on the
test. What would be a reason to rename a cell?

I learned there is an option in the insert menu to rename
a cell and that is probably what the test I took was
referring to.

Look up "naming, cells" in Help for an explanation of how and why you would
name cells.
