Named Range Problem

Hi All,

I am having a really wierd problem with named ranges in Excel 2003.

I have got 5 dynamically named ranges where the formula used for the dynamic
named range appears to actually change without me altering it.

As another element to the wierdness if I paste a list of the named variables
the formulas pasted does not match what you see if you look at them through
insert>named range>define.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Thanks in advance

If you work with names, do yourself a favor and get a copy of Jan Karel
Pieterse's (with Charles Williams and Matthew Henson) Name Manager:

You can find it at:
NameManager.Zip from http://www.oaltd.co.uk/mvp

It might make debugging this kind of thing easier.

Thanks Dave - I think my problem was caused by missing a $ sign from one of
the ranges.

Does your suggested add-in handle dynamic named ranges? I had a read of the
blurb and I can't see any specific references - still looks like a useful
tool.

Sorry - I had time to read about it on the web but have got loads of
deadlines today. I've stuck a copy on my laptop and will look at it later.
