"Name" Issue?

Excel2003 ... I have no knowledge on "Names" I have not used them.

I am trying to copy/paste a small range of cells from a Worksheet in one
Workbook to a WS in another WB. Issue is the following error message:

"A formula or sheet you want to move or copy contains the name 'Now', which
already exist on the Destination Worksheet." ... The remainder of the message
simply gives me options.)

How do I find the 'Now' Name in the Destination Worksheet? Thanks ... Kha

hi
select the sheet you want to paste to.
on the menu bar>insert>name>define.
it should list all the names that are on that sheet.

named ranges go back to pre-windows days when all you had was one sheet.
named ranges was a easy way to navigate around the sheet. but since the
introduction of GUI(windows), named ranged have decreased in importance and
use but still have a place in the spreadsheet environment.

if you have never used name then someone who shares the file does. i would
try to contact that person to find out why the use of named ranges. and if
you co-workers are using them, i would read up on named ranges. just in case.
