Name Columns

Is there any way to name a column in Excel? I mean where
the actual ABC's are. Just sort of rename it.

Does this make any sense?

You can't rename the column headers. They are either letters or
numbers, nothing else. Perhaps you could put headings in row 1
and freeze that row so that it is always visible.
