Hi recently built my own pc( all components suitable for
XP system), I also purchased XP Proffessional as an
operating system, seal and assured unregistered and
activated( it was dell branded. i installed and ran it
but kept being shut down by N T Authority system, i have
formatted the H/Dive and installed an OEM version with
the original dell COA but still no luck.)
Does any body have any ideas on how to overcome this
situation??????
I am a lay person when it comes to pc's and am appealing
for help please,
many thanks pumpduse

You likely have the blaster virus. See:

And:

You certainly are a "lay person" as in 'too damned lay-zy to do any
research". Had you been bothered to use Google for the purpose for which it
was created you could have answered your own question - in considerably less
time than it took you to post!

And, if you built your own system, then you can't be that clueless, so I'm
wondering if you actually did!

It appears your computer has been infected with the Blaster virus. For more
