n-case

Mike

I am getting an error message that states the a file by
the name of "n-case has been removed by a third party
program" with prompts to down load the file from an
unnamed internet site. Is this a rouse? I have Norton
antivirus, but I dont want to take the time or chance
that this may download a virus.

Please help

First thing on Google...
and.doxdesk.com: parasite: nCase
and.doxdesk.com nCase. Parasites < more unsolicited
commercial software. Description.
nCase (also spelled nCASE or n-CASE, randomly) is adware
from 180Solutions. ...

You probably used AdAware or SpyBot to clean your computer.
The program that you installed, that also loaded n-Case, is
looking for you to re-infect your computer, otherwise the
"free" program won't run.

Figure out what "free" program is asking and delete it would
be the best solution.

I looked and SpyBot does have n-case on their list.

Greetings --

n-Case is a form of spyware. Two products that are quite
effective at finding and removing such scumware are Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search and Destroy from
http://security.kolla.de/. Both have free evaluation versions.

Additionally, Symantec provides removal instructions:
