Can someone please let me know what an n-case alert is? It has been popping up on my computer saying some files may have been removed by a third party. Since I started getting this message my computer has been extremely slow and freezes quite often. Please help!

N-Case is one of the nastiest trojans. Use these websites and do a
complete check.

Here's some info..

What is N-Case?
Ncase is a Comparison Alternative Shopping Engine developed by
180Solutions. It appears to be installed via an ActiveX drive-by
download or bundled with several file sharing programs and a few
others. It will cause pop-up advertisements, can add shortcut items to
the Startup or Desktop, and update itself.

There are a couple variants of Ncase, the normal one as well as at
least one installed by an Active X drive-by downloadome info..

Uninstall link here..

Hello
ncase is a spyware program that loads at startup
I recommend downloading, updating & running ad-aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

If that does not work then here is a removal tool

Greetings --

n-Case is a form of spyware. Two products that are normally
quite effective at finding and removing such scumware are Ad-Aware
from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search and Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org/. Both have free versions.

Symantec provides removal instructions:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.ncase.html

Additional manual removal instructions for the most common
varieties of scumware are available here:
