Mysteriously disappearing messages

Why do emails sent to an "msn.com" address and imported into Outlook 2007
vanish from the Inbox right before my very eyes? How can I prevent this from
happening? Where do the emails go? I don't get it! Obviously, I can't
permit this situation to exist.
