Using Word 2002 - have a word document, deleted one sentence and saved the
file with this change. View the file on 4 different computers running
Windows XP, Office XP with SP3. On 2 of the computers, open the file do not
see the sentence that was deleted, and prints the same way.
On the other 2 systems, open the file and there is the deleted sentenced,
but when printing the file, the sentence does not print.
Checked formatting, etc. nothing. Copied text to a new Word File - sentence
displays.

Any ideas as 2 why this sentence appears on some computers and not on others?

Sure. Some people are viewing hidden text and some are not. Format-->Font
and uncheck hidden text, and you'll see it on all of them OR
Tools-->Options-->View tab and turn ON viewing of hidden text.

My guess is that when you deleted the sentence, you had Track
Changes enabled, and you did not accept all tracked changes
before saving. When the document is subsequently reopened, the
tracked changes will be visible in Final Showing Markup view. To
prevent this from happening, you need to accept all tracked
changes in the document, or make sure the Track Changes option is
not enabled to begin with when making changes.

Well Anne you had it right. When I enable/disable hidden text in
TOOLS>OPTIONS>VIEW the sentence disappears and reappears.

Thanks for the help.
