I have a program (control panel > add/remove programs) named "31!". I've
searched files did a search on google and have not been able to find any
reference to 31!. Ad/remove programs lists it as 3.53 mb and used rarely.
Computer works ok but I'm curious. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Bill C

You could do this:
- Open regedit.exe
- Navigate to this key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\31!
- See if there are any paths mentioned, e.g. "C:\Program Files\31!"
- See if there are any .exe files in that folder. Running one of them
might refresh your memory.
- If you still don't know what it is, rename the folder
"C:\Program Files\31!" to "C:\Program Files\31!.bad"
- Wait a month.
- If all is well, reverse the rename and uninstall the program.

Thanks Pegasus,
I did as you suggested and found
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\31!
It listed an invalid path (the file has been deleted). I searched the
register and found no other instances of 31!
Should I just delete that key? Again thanks, Bill C

Yes, you can safely delete it.
