MYIE2 and Google Toolbar

I just got a new XP computer and have a problem that I didn't have on my
last XP machine. Google Toolbar preferences are set to "Open Search Results
In A New Browser Window" but instead of opening a new MYIE2 Window it is
opening an IE window. I am sure I didn't have this annoying problem before.
I have set the MYIE2>Options>Default Browser correctly so that's not the
problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

I read in SlimBrowser FAQs that Google Toolbar is coded to open search results in IE
and that this could not be changed unless Google toolbar changes its code. I guess the
same may apply to MYIE2 (?)

That's what I keep reading in support groups but I am certain I had this
working properly in the old computer. After all, one of the nicest features
of MYIE is not opening up multiple occurrences of itself as IE does.

I suggest not using the toolbar. Try the Default Search. It's much cooler.
Just type anything in the address bar. Set the default search to google, of
course.

The very latest MyIE2 even has a nice searchbar that can rival
Google's. (Depends on what you use in the google bar.)

That said, I remember using the googlebar with MyIE and not
having any problems with it.
