My Yahoo

IE will not allow me to access my personal yahoo page. When I type in the address bar, www.my.yahoo.com, as I always do, I get the following message:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://my.yahoo.com/p/d.html?v. Operation aborted. I click OK (only choice) and I'm taken to the white page which says: The page cannot be displayed .... etc.
IE will allow me to access my personal msn page. When I type in the address bar, www.my.msn.com, as I always do, I have no problems.

Thanks.

Hi,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

Browse to your Cookies folder and delete all Yahoo cookies.

[Windows XP]
From Start> Run> CMD enter the following line
ipconfig /flushdns
then restart.

A HOSTS file may be blocking Yahoo.
To check the HOSTS file in Windows XP...
Make sure that Windows is showing hidden files and is
not hiding file extensions for known file types then check for a HOSTS file
at [C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc] Open the HOSTS file with notepad. If
there are entries you wish to disable, you can put the pound sign (#) in
front an entry to disable it. Then File> Save. Or you can rename the HOSTS
file to HOSTS.OLD to disable it.
More on the HOSTS file at http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm and
http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/

Hope this helps,
Don
