My XP pro will not recognize my Radeon M1 graphics controller

I am having a huge problem with my graphics controller.
To start off I got the sasser worm a week ago and had to
reformat my whole computer. I decided to but on XP pro
and not use the restore CDs that my laptop came with. The
problem now is that my video adapter (Ati Radeon M1 with
dual monitor capabilities) is not recognized and the
system will not update any drivers. I'm really at a loss
of what to do? If anyone has a solution or an Idea on
what to try please email me.

Could be the restore CD has the necessary drivers and other proprietary
software. I would use it to get the laptop up and running then install XP
Pro over it.

FYI: Many laptops come with OEM prgrams that can only be upgraded at the
laptop manufacturer's web site.
