I tried to reinstall XP from my CD a while back and it appears to have become
corrupted. I had to borrow my Fathers disk (which worked fine), I cant get
help as I dont know my ID key (used my Dads key oops), could easily give the
CD key as its on my Windows XP box. This is bizare as it has spent most of
its life in the box and is in mint condition.

Is there any way of getting a replacement disk without having to pay the
full price? I originally bought Windows XP Pro (student eddition) as I am no
longer a student this could be very expensive.

Hi,

If it is not with the CD, look on documentation that came with the
system, or there is a good change it is stuck to the system box
itself. Look on the outside of the box. If this is a notebook, it is
most likely on the bottom.
