My Toshiba laptop only boots to Windows XP sometimes

I have a Toshiba Laptop model Satellite 2455-S305 that only retains power on
the battery for 10 Mins. It also will not boot into any profiles
successfully until 7 tries and only then it will have a temporary profile
that will not save any changes in it. Can someone please assist me with this
problem?
 
Sounds like you have some hardware issues, bad battery, faulty corrupted
hard drive. Have you tried contacting Toshiba tech support?
