I was personalising my Taskbar and somehow the programs that are currently
running do not show up any more so when i minimise a program it dissappears
and there is no way i can know where it has gone please help.

your control panel should
have a taskbar panel where
you can reset the options/features.

[ you can press your win key
to activate start > control panel....]

Line 164. Restore Taskbar to Default Functionality
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

-or-

Repair the Taskbar manually. See David's post here:

http://groups.google.co.in/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/msg/2c661f9eb1f6a60a?hl=en

Note: You'll lose all the existing Taskbar settings, and the additional toolbars that you may've added earlier.

press alt+s

then press the letter c until control panel
is highlighted

then go down to the listing to the T's where
taskbar is indicated and can be selected....

if the settings seem to be ok, then
check out your "desktop size" since the display
may be exceeding the boundaries of your
physical viewing area of your monitor....

"Person who needs dire help"
where is that? cuz im having the same problem the kellys korner doesnt
work
for me for some odd reason...
