Yeah, like he said!!!
But anyhow I guess the decision is yours so .......
Find the regedit.exe (C:\windows) file & just right click & select
rename.
Are you logged in as the administrator?
I just saw this - both of you have given the OP really good advice - to
not mess around with something he doesn't understand!
To the OP: Your computer is probably infected with viruses and/or
malware and will need to be cleaned up. Based on your posts, I strongly
suggest you not try to fix this yourself. However, here are cleanup
instructions:
Go through these general malware removal steps systematically -
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
Include scanning with either Sysclean or Multi_AV, plus Ewido. Do all
prep/finishing work and follow instructions to do all scans in Safe
Mode.
When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the link above (not here, please).
If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
