Hello.

I have had Vista for about 1 month now without any sort of problems, but
recently pop-up windows about that my Vista in invalid or not activated.

However, when I type in the product key (which I find on my computer,
because I bought Vista along with the new comupter) to try and activate it
again it says that the Product Key is already in use.

I haven't tried to reinstall Vista yet, but if you guys think that might
help or got any other soloution I hope you guys will let me know so I won't
have to buy Vista.. again!

Regards Christopher

I had the same problem this morning and a call fixed it. However my window
announce that it is not genuine in the lwer right hand corner....

Go to the link below and validate again;

Validate Windows again
If you’ve already run diagnostics and passed, click the Validate Now button below. Even if you
have already run validation and know that this copy of Windows did not pass, the validation
results page provides the best information about the cause of the problem and the steps you can
take to resolve it.

Uh.... To get this problem straightened out?

He shouldn't have to have this kind of problem in the first place.
Computers are complex enough without MS insisting on passing bogus,
flawed and ineffective "anti piracy" program hoops.

I did run the diagnostics and passed, but when I try to validate it it said
"The validation service is unable to determine whether this copy of Windows
Vista is genuine."

What I could choose from there was to either; Try again, Submit a technical
support request, or buy a whole new Windows Vista.

A common problem, especially if the machine was ever on display in a store.

There were always three approaches to getting a free copy of Windows. The
hard way, using a dubious product key generator, or the easy way. Where the
really smart people went to their local store and simply read a genuine
product code off the label that many manufacturers so kindly stick in a
prominent place on the case. Then there are those who cultivated friendship
with people who worked in computer stores, who, for a small consideration
can harvest product key's off machines not destined for display.

Call the telephone activation number, they usually help.
