I suspect this is off topic for this group and if so please suggest a
alternate group.

I wish to use my old Win 98 computer as a external drive linked to my home
network "no problem" but do away with its keyboard and monitor. Don't know
how I would boot it up. Any thoughts?
Thank you
SG

If you go into the BIOS you may have the option to have it bypass the
keyboard check, and then it will boot, even without a monitor.

If you can't bypass the keyboard check, just attach a keyboard to it;
you won't need a monitor for it to boot.
