My numbers display as pound signs in the cell block

Hi...my entered numbers in a cell block turn into the pound sign when entered
and displayed on the screen or when printing. How do I correct this? Thanks
 
Which software are you using? Access? Excel?

The width of the column may not be big enough to disply the value. Try
increasing the width of the column.

BTW, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access (a database application), not
general computer "access". Suggest for future questions, state clearly the
software + version (and the OS version) and post to appropriate newsgroup.
