my notification envelope doesn't appear any more.

it has always appeared for the past year and a half. all of a sudden, no
notification envelope in the task bar when i get new messages. what's the
deal? i still get the little message preview box that disappears after 10
seconds or something, but no envelope. can anyone help?
 
you are not the only one! I've had this problem since installing v.2007 and
have never had a notification icon display for me even though I have
specified for it to do so in the setup. Haven't found any answers yet.
