My normal.dot has got completely screwed...

Bheadster72

And i have no idea how to resolve it, i have looked in all the obviously
places but it's not obvious to me!

All of the margins are wrong, the font is wrong, the language is wrong (i
want it to be English UK), document size is wrong (letter & not A4) & i'm
getting quite frustrated now.

HELP ;-)

Rename it, and Word will make you a new one the next time you open
Word.

(Then you can transfer any customizations you want to keep. If there
aren't any, just delete the old one.)

By default Windows will be installed with a US English configuration, so
start by ensuring the Windows regional settings are configured to UK
English.

Normal.dot (dotm in Word 2007) is a normally hidden file stored in the
folder
%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates

Copy the above line to the address bar of any file access Explorer
(including Internet Explorer) to take you to the correct location.
