A Windows Installer message crops up everytime I try to load up "my music".

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable."

What's it all about and how do I fix it?

I don't know if this will help you, but I had a similar sounding issue on my
HP pc a couple wks ago.
I wound up fixing it by reinstalling the program that was acting up. But
maybe it will help.

This issue occurs due to disabled indexing services and enabled advanced
text options of Windows XP operating system.

Perform the following steps to enable the Indexing service:

a. Click Start>> All Programs>>Accessories>>From Windows Explorer
b. Select the drive, e.g., Local Disk (C:)
c. Right Click and select Properties
d. Under General tab, place a checkmark on "Allow Indexing Services to
index this disk for fast file searching"
e. Click OK

Perform the following steps to disable the Advanced text options:

a. From Control Panel, selection Regional and Language Options
b. Under Languages tab, click on Details button
c. Click on Advanced tab, place a checkmark on "Turn off advanced text
services"
d. Click OK
Now try your program.

Good luck.
