My multivalue combo box (Access 2007) not allowing me to select t.

I am new to MS Access 2007 and am struggling to use the new multivalue fields.

I have created the Lookup Field in the table (which is selecting data from
another table) and following the HELP instructions to "create a combo box by
adding a Lookup field to a form". Everything looks great in the design and
layout view.

Unfortunately, when in the Form View the check boxes in the list are there
but I am unable to select any items from the list.

The feature seems to be operating perfectly in the table datasheet view but
not within the form.

I cannot find anything in the HELP to assist me here for troubleshooting
such an issue. Anyone else had this issue and solved the problem?

this reply is a stretch; but I have found several examples myself of
unexplicable form behavior when the form is sourced directly on a table; and
is resolved if I simply make a query (with all the same fields as the table)
and resource the form on the query.

I think such advice as this is borderline superstitious...but nonetheless it
has worked for me on a couple occassions specifically with 07. In any case
it only takes a nanosecond to whip up the query and try...maybe it will help.
