My MOBO will support what?

How do I find out what kind of HD I need to buy that will match my
MOBO? I don't know where to find the MOBO specs. Isn't there a
command I can use that will reveal the hardware configuration? Using
XP Home. Wanting to buy a new internal HD.

Here's a few of ways to check your MB specs:-

1. Look at the board, determine the make and modle from what is printed
on the board then go to the manufacturers site and look up the specs.

2. Download Everest Home ed
http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=1&lang=en , run it,
get the data you need and then visit the MB manufacturers site.

3. Look at the documentation you got with your computer

4. If it is a proprietry make (Dell, HP, IBM etc) look up the specs on
that model on the manufactures site.
