My microsoft word window can't be minimized.

When I try tominimize the word window, it doesn't shrink. Its size stays the
same. What can i do?
 
Do you mean when you switch to Windows view or when you minimize to the task
bar? If the former, note the panel at the top right of the window which has
three 'boxes'. The middle one will display one Window oer Two depending on
the status. When it shows one, the application is in Windowed mode. Grab the
edges of the window and drag them to the size you want. That size is
retained. If you cannot see the edges, click and drag the title bar until
you can.
