my messages are indexed, but no emails show up in search

Other than the emails I transferred from my old computer, no emails show up
when I search. My indexing status says everything is indexed, and everything
seems to be checked appropriately in Search Options. Ideas?

What version of Outlook are you using? You might try rebuilding your Search
Index.

I am using 2007 with Windows 7. I believe I successfully found how to
rebuild (control panel>indexing options>advanced> rebuild), but i still get
nothing when i search for an email. ??
