Dear Papa John,
I feel embarassed to send this message to your attention
but that's where I stand to-day.
This morning I have sent a message to you (coming from
Belgium) and concerning my problem on how to put the
music of my CDs on to some of the digital Video clips
aligned in the video sequence. (Cam Sony TRV 250E Pal +
MM1.1 + Firewire EE 1394)
Now I can't find my message back on "The report for
microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker" listing.
How can I find it back and find your eventual answer to
my question. Thanks for your help.

Here's a copy of my response to it.... post again if you need more:

Hi Didier,

You don't assign audio clips to video clips.... you position them over
them... in the timeline view of your project, drag your audio clips to the
Audio/Music track and trim them as needed to align them with the video
clips. Unlike video clips, which don't allow spaces between them, the
audio/music clips can be positioned wherever you want them... besides
trimming the audio clips, you can overlap them so they fade nicely from one
piece to the next.

You have to copy the audio from your CD to your computer before using them
in Movie Maker.... use Windows Media Player and copy them to WMA files.

Sounds like you want to watch your movie(s) on TV.... so you'll need to use
other software to burn discs (see the CD and DVD sections of my website). If
you have DV-In enabled on your camcorder, saving the movie as a DV-AVI file
and then copying it to your camcorder will let you copy it from there to a
VHS tape.

Thanks for your efforts at English. It comes across well,

PapaJohn
