I wonder if anyone has any wisdom on this. I've downloaded the My
Medications freeware mentioned this morning. When I try to start it, I get
a message that "splitter.ocx or one of its dependencies" is not registered,
or not found, etc. The named file is present, and it's registered
correctly. I just have no idea what the "dependencies" are. Anyone know
this? I know it's a bit off topic, but perhaps someone can help. Thanks.

The program works fine here. Maybe you should contact them at

I did, and got a nice response -- it's definitely something on my system. I
wish there were some freeware that could tell us the "dependencies" of an
..ocx file. (I don't even know what that means, but that's how the error
message reads. It's likely other files that the .ocx references.)

That's exactly what it means. :)

If I find any freeware dependency walkers I'll post links.

Thanks! I got another response from the fellow who wrote the program, this
time with a new copy of splitter.ocx and another program called regdrop. I
don't recall seeing it before, although my memory is pretty bad these days.
It's very neat -- install regdrop on your desktop, drag any registered file,
holding down a shift key, to the regdrop icon, and the file is unregistered.
Or drag a file to the icon, with no shift key, and it's registered.

Worked like a charm, I'm now up and going! Thanks so much to all.
