After a few months of looking (and some help from this forum!) I've decided, within reason, what im gonna get for my first build! It fits nicely within my budget but thought i'd post it so if there are any glaring mistakes i.e compatibility, you guys can let me know before i make a mistake in buying it!

AMD 4000+
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS
Antec Sonata II (PSU included)
Corsair XMS3200 TWINX1024
LG GSA-4167BRL DVD recorder
Plextor PX-230A CD-RW
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1
Mitsumi Black Internal Floppy Drive
Gainward 6800GS BLISS PCI-E 512MB TV-DVI

Thanks for any feedbak! :)

LG GSA-4167BRL DVD recorder
Plextor PX-230A CD-RW

It all seems fine apart from the above? why a DVD RW and a CD RW
A DVD ROM would be more appropriate, as the DVD RW will write CDs anway:nod:

good specs

Looks all OK, the motherboard is good, i have the same one. But i would suggest the same as "it'sme" and the 2nd Drive to be a DVD, that way you can copy disc to disc including DVD's, all DVD-RW will work as CD-RW as well. Good luck with the build and if you need any help all you need to do is ask:thumb:

Thanks for the replies guys! Was only think having a CD-rw cause on my old computer some CDs were a bit picky about going into the DVD-rom drive! Shouldn't be a problem a guess tho! Thanks for the help peeps and i'll be sure to come back crying when something blows up on me!

DVD Roms did used to have a problem reading some CD's but with modern technology & software those glitchs don't happen anymore;)
