My enter key has stopped working

Please can you help? Over the last couple of days my
enter keys (keyboard and number pad) have stopped
functioning. I downloaded a little utility which tested
the keyboard and registered each key pressed with the
exception of the enter keys. As you can imagine this is
very frustrating. I have set a system restore back to
last week in the hope that this would resolve it,
unfortunately, it didn't. Someone out there must know why
this is happening and how to resolve it. MANY THANKS in

So use another keyboard then! It doesn't take a genius to figure that out!

I'm having the same problem. Tried replacing the
keyboard, it does the same thing. Put the original
keyboard on another computer, it works fine. Seems like
this is happening to a lot of people suddenly. Anyone
know what's going on?

precisly the same problem as me, and im fully updated with service packs
'n everything, both enter and return key stop working, i have to reboot
to ge them working again.

i've actualy got the problem right now, ive had to copy and paste line
breaks from an email message to put in the blank line between these
paragrahs. But i cant restart pc yet,and its really getting annoying.

this has to be an issue with the service packs from m$

Try running a spyware detection program such as ad-aware six. When you run a scan using this program be on the look out for something called " new net now". I had the same problem with my enter key and tried this, it has been working fine for a week.
