My eBooks folder

In the past week, I've been working on two new computers that are both
running Windows XP 5.1 with Service Pack 2. Under the My Documents folder,
they both have a My eBooks folder. Is there any way to permanently delete
that folder? I've deleted it several times, but it keeps popping back up.
I'll never use that, and it's just annoying to have that empty folder along
with all of my data files that I'm working with all of the time.

acrobat, it will create the folder....

Certain versions of Adobe Acrobat reader create that folder every time you
use them. I'm using the latest version (7.0.8) and it doesn't create that
folder.

Oooooh! Thank you! I just upgraded the Adobe Acrobat reader to version
7.0.8 in the other computer yesterday afternoon. I hadn't noticed it then,
but when I checked it just now, that got rid of the My eBooks folder.
Wonderful! I'll upgrade the software on this computer before I ship it off
to my boss.

It looked like the instructions from Wes on how to delete the file would
have worked, too. Thanks to everybody for your help.

They do work.

What works even better is to dump Adobe Acrobat Reader and get Foxit Reader.

Foxit Reader for Windows

<quote>
Foxit Reader is the only eligible alternative reader/viewer for PDF files
(eBooks). It's smaller, faster, and cleaner. And it's free.

You don't need to go throught lengthy installation process to start using
Foxit Reader, just UNZIP the downloaded "foxitreader.zip" package into any
place you want, then run FoxitReader.exe.

You can set Foxit Reader as your default PDF reader, so you can double click
on PDF files to open them within Foxit Reader.

If you want to uninstall Foxit Reader, please remove all Foxit Reader files.
If you want to switch default PDF reader back to your previous reader,
please run the other reader (e.g. Adobe Reader) you have, and set it as the
default reader.
