mobo (onboard 32 MB Geforce Vid, TV out, LAN, 4 USB, sound)! [84.99]
Athlon XP 2000+ (retail pack, with heatsink, fan) [69.00]
2 sticks 256 MB 2700 DDR RAM (total 512 MB) [62.00]

Her second hand Hi-Val CD-RW []

New Compaq 17" flat screen CRT [119.00]

Second hand KB and mouse []

Total cash outlay for rockin' "new" internet-and-games computer:
$371.98

[Labor: free]

[Not counting software]

I forgot to mention it *has* an AGP slot. Plus much more. It's a
gorgeous black mini-mobo, suitable for a mini- or mid-size tower. Easy
as play to set up. It looks great in cases with windows... a very
handsome little motherboard.

Dude, seriously: look at that. It's a NFORCE2 mobo with onboard vid
(plus TV out!), LAN, AGP sot and 3 PCI slots *and* extremely decent
sound, for less than you'd normally pay for the vid alone. Seriously.
That is a ROCKIN' deal.

I have built several bargain boxes with that board as a base, and they
are all solidly reliable, and give good satisfaction. Forget the PC
CHIPS mobos, and get this one.

I don't build bargain-bin PC's.

Looks very interesting. I almost bought a Chaintech recently, they seem to
be getting good press. Maybe next time.
