my computer sounds like the chipmunks on helium

I have read various sites on this subject and found one that
recommended downloading SoundMAX Integrated digital Audio driver which
i have done but it just keeps saying driver not found can anyone help?
 
download driver for what???? on board sound??...Realtek?..Via?? Nvidia??
