"MY COMPUTER" Slow to open

When I open my computer whether from the desktop or from
inside an application like WORD, when I try to open MY
COMPUTER they window will be blank and will take a minute
or two for it to find the harddrive. Has anyone had an
experience like this and found a fix for it?

I recently had this problem. I had to remove my SCSI
card, reboot, add the SCSI card, and then reboot again.
Sounds like a Hard Disk Controller problem.
