My computer shows non-existent drive

Windows XP My Computer is showing a non-existent drive.
When you click on it it says cannot open the parameter is
incorrect. The file system is reported as RAW and the
disk size and usage are reported as 0 bytes. Tried to
get rid of this annoying pest using Disk Management but
alas the beasty does not show up there. I can't assign F
to any other drive in Disk Management - F is the drive
letter of the so-called Local Disk in question - so its
like F has been assigned, but it does not show up in
anything but My Computer. How do I get rid of this fake
drive that My Computer keeps showing?? XP also shows
this drive in all drive combo boxes such as on Open/Save
dialogs, but the drive cannot be accessed - of course,
since it does not exist.

So I have a drive F with 0 bytes of storage and 0 bytes
remaining and a RAW file system. Very odd.

Please help.

Hi,

Have you installed any softwares that use virtual CD?
For example, the latest Clone CD has virtual CD feature.
