When clicking on My Computer, the window opens, and it just sits there
looking for the drives. There has been no new software installed, antivirus
is up to date and performed the last scan this morning. Ad-Ware has removed
several items, Spybot didn't find any extras.
Also, when clicking on Iinternet Explorer no browser comes up. Netscape is
working, so is Opera and Firefox. All other Microsft Apps (Word, Excel,
Outlook, etc) open fine. My Network Places opens as well.
Windows XP Pro SP2
Abit KD-7
Athlon XP +3200
2 gb DDR 3200
Only necessary system programs are running in the background and when trying
to search for the drives in My computer, while watching Task Manager, there
is no significant jump in CPU usage out of the norm.
Is there a utility I should download to help bring My Computer back into
line?
