A few hours ago I turned on my computer and started to log into windows.
After typing in my password and pressing enter, a message popped up saying
that my user profile was corrupt or lost. The computer continued to log in
and when it did, it showed the default desktop and settings. After going into
the Local Disk to make sure I hadn't lost any important files (which I
hadn't), I logged off and then back on again. This time my desktop returned
to normal and all my settings reappeared. The only problem is that when I
open My Computer, under Files Stored on This Computer, it doesn't list my
documents, only Shared Documents. The same happens for the guest account - it
only shows Shared Documents and not Guests Documents. I'm running XP Home SP2
with all current updates.
