I just re-installed my windows xp prof. and created
another user1 as a administrator but when I try to switch
back to my account is not visible. I went to safe mode
and my account is visible and user 1 account. How can I
get back on the welcome screen.

My be you should try going to run command
and if you dont know what that is. Go to start
and go where it says run. and type: control userpasswords2
and that should bring up all your users on Windows xp and
change you account type.

This is normal. Once you create additional accounts, the built in
Administrator account disappears on the Welcome Screen.

To enable the Administrator account on the new Windows XP logon screen,
visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP section.
Follow the link for Enable Administrator Account ......

This small VB Script will make the registry change necessary for the
Administrator account to be available on the Welcome Screen. If you prefer
to do it manually, click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList\

Note: There is a space between Windows and NT in the above Key.

Add the Administrator account if necessary and/or change the Administrator
value to 1
