My & and TEXT formula is not calculating

I created a formula to link text from one cell and a value from another cell.
I used the help and did exactly the same type of formula.

=G8&TEXT(O30, "0")

Now if I use the Formula Auditing -> Evaluate formula the expected result is
correct however in the excel cell it is not calculating and just displaying
the formula.

Please can anyone help?

What are the values in G8 and O30? What is the desired output?

Sounds like you've got display formula's turned on.

Go to Tools, Options, View

and make sure there isn't a tick next to Formulas under Window options
