Hi Keith,

No, we are not "paid" for our services. (We are not employees of Microsoft.)
However, the MVP award comes with a "thank you" gift, and some free software
so we can learn other/new technologies.

But do get free MSDN subscription, and other goodies.

See the difference between Carey & Cindy's answers. That's the
difference between a good MVP and a bad one. One gives the complete
truth, and the other hides part of the truth.

And still others promote lies and piracy.

I'll take the MVP's thank you very much.

I belive they get tons of free software from MS every 3 months as
payment.

What compensation do you receive tho? Please be specific. Thanks.

LOL! You think all MVP's are good? Just like every group of humans there
are good and bad in every bunch. Too bad you are so moronic that you are
unable to differeniate between them.

My original response was 100% accurate. I chose not to
violate the Microsoft MVP confidentiality agreement each
MVP must sign and adhere to.

Carey:
You don't have to respond to "Kurt" who is obviously a deranged
individual.
I and I'm sure many others, have "plonked" him.
Keep up your outstanding and much appreciated assistance!

"Do Microsoft MVPs receive any payment from Microsoft?
No. Microsoft does provide a small award of software, but MVPs do not
receive any monetary payment from the Microsoft MVP Program."

I guess the "thank you" gift was not mentioned there. It's kind of hard to
keep confidentiality for a gift with the MVP symbol prominently embroidered
on it like we got this year.

Why should they be specific? Who cares? No wonder this group is so
unwieldy, with these weighty, important issues taking so much space.
Between this sort of junk and people responding to the maniac Kurt, this
group is practically unreadable.

Hi Kimmy

This NG isn't unreadable. As you're using OE it is not a problem - use
Message Rules to get through the postings.

Obviously, I wasn't the only one that of the opinion that you left out a
few of the FACTS.

And both OJ and Michael Jackson claim they were 100% not guilty. ;-)

It would help if you were actually smarter than the keyboard you try so hard
to type with.
