Tandem boot: Win98/XP

I just reinstalled 98 three days ago and am trying to use it
to access the internet.

MB is a Shuttle MN31 with ethernet/firewire.
XP has not given me any trouble but I can't configure 98 to
access the internet.

I did install the drivers from the mainboard Shuttle CD for
98. When it got to the ethernet part it seemed to freeze.

I tried setting it up as "LAN" and the "Wizard" asked for
the 98 disk and installed parts and pieces.

I am not using a modem so certainly that is no option.

Anyone know what I need to do?

Thanks,
Wally

I haven't used 9x for so long I don't remember much about it anymore....the
only thing I can suggest is that you keep looking at the driver issue. Check
out
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/support/windows/topics/hardware/hwddresctr.asp

I'd try posting in a Win98 group for the most expert help if I were you.
