Music Problems

Brett Hinchliffe

Hi,

I'm relatively new to the Power Point program and was wondering if anyone
could answer my question.

I am creating a sample slide show using 10 slides in total. Once the 10th
slide has appeared, I will continue looping the presentation. (back to the
first slide) I have also added a wav file that I want to loop automically
everytime it finishes playing (this wav file lasts roughly 17 seconds)

Here's my problem. My music file keeps restarting everytime the slide
presentation loops back to the first slide. Can I get the sound file to play
(and keep looping) independently from the slides transitions?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks very much,

Brett

You will need to start the looping sound on a slide separated from the
looping show. In short, fool PowerPoint into not restarting the sound each
time the presentation rolls back to the slide that started it.

Insert a blank hidden slide at the beginning of your looped show. On this
hidden slide, start the sound and tell it to loop 99999 times for something
silly like 9999 slides (1000 loops is a bit much don't you think?)

Because the first slide is hidden, it will only start the music once, but
loop until stopped. Just remember to start the show on slide 1 and you are
set to go.
