To avoid completely reconfiguring your sound system and
setup, it is really simple with the following
restrictions:

1. The sound file must be a Wave file, ending with .wav
2. You are limited to 30 seconds of music.

If that suffices, do the following:

Start/Control Panel/Sounds, speech....etc./Sounds and
Audio Devices/Sounds tab/Program Events/now use the down
arrow to "Start Windows" and highlight it (click on it)
and then click the "Browse" button. Find your music/song
file wherever it is on your PC harddrive (not floppy) and
click on it. This will put it in "your" sound scheme.
It will ask you to give a name to your custom sound
scheme (use you first name) and click Apply and OK.
Reboot your system and it should play "your song". If it
doesn't, then the sound file is not compatible or in the
incorrect format. Choose another one. Keep trying,
you'll get it! Good luck!
